The Voyager

It takes immense courage to see the horizon when others only notice the sea

To be labelled an eccentric madman who marches ahead through constant failures when others give up & flee.

Such a man has no qualms about his desolation,

rather than a small plea

He can move on alone until comes the times of glee

'cause happiness amplifies when shared

sorrow when shared recedes

He is playing leader

when others are content following the lead.

He brands no one as coward

incapable of walking with him in times of dismay

For the light guides only him & shows him its glorious display

of a range of colors so vivid

that changes him day after day

He sees different colors in everything

while others only see shades of gray.

his moves are instinctive and involve a risky play

the risks taken are not illogical for he's ever-ready to pay

the consequences which he knows are his lessons to complete

to be a man of possibilities endless, for whom average is being obsolete.

Come his final hour, 

he knows he would be at ease

for the path he took was risky but made him infinite and released

his ultimate destiny was riddled with setbacks,

had he quit,

he was damned for mediocrity

but he soldiered on,

and was rewarded immortality.
